With the first licensed glassworks, the glassmakers Hans Greiner and Christoph Müller laid the foundation for the production and processing of glass in all its facets in the region around Neuhaus am Rennweg.

Start of the first manual ampoule production in Neuhaus am Rennweg, which significantly shaped the reputation of Thuringia as the center of glass production in Germany.

After the gradual nationalization to VEB Glasverarbeitung Neuhaus, with 45 operating units and 1.200 employees, the entire GDR pharmaceutical industry was supplied with the glass products from the Rennsteig-region.

In a united Germany, the first step towards a new beginning was taken with the founding of Thüringer Pharmaglas GmbH. Years of renovation and restructuring followed, before, the construction of the new production hall was finished, which is still used today, since 1996.

On 23.08.2005 the Thüringer Pharmaglas GmbH & Co.KG was founded, which is still in operation today & Co. KG. by investing in new and modern production lines, the vial- and ampoule capacities could be exeeded every year and the quality level steadily increased.

With the new warehouse and it's moving high-rack-system, the basis for additional capacity expansions in the following years was set.

Due to the expansion of the machine park over the years 2020-2022 , a capacity increase of approx. 30% of our vial-production could be realized.

Due to the expansion of our warehouse and it's mobile high-rack-system, the warehouse-capacity could be increased to around 2500 EURO-pallets.
